Doña Guadalupe de la Cruz, Huichol marakame, shaman, seen by the light of Tatewari, the Fire God, during the pilgrimage to Wiricuta, the sacred high desert in central Mexico. When on pilgrimage, the Huichols are protected and guided by Taupa, Father Sun, during the day, and by Tatewari, Grandfather Fire, when the Sun goes to his night home.
