GOD'S EYE WEAVING

Huichol children over five and all adults take vows to travel 5 times to Wiricuta, the sacred high desert in Central Mexico. Maria Felix uses God's eye weavings to keep record of the number of journeys each of her 8 children has taken. Each child is represented by a specific color combination. Maria Felix is wearing her vestuario, the traditional ceremonial clothing she has sewn and embroidered by hand.
