Mt. Shasta

Mt. Shasta rises dramatically into the Northern California sky to a height over six times higher than Mt. Tamalpais. Called Akoo-Yet by the Pit River People who have worshipped on her flanks for ten thousand years or more, it is a mountain known and revered through out the world as a sacred site.

For 12 Years Tomas lead year-long Pilgrimage groups which met montly to prepare to go to the mountain "in a good way", which culminated in unforgettable week-long experiences camping on Mt Shasta and climbing her majestic peaks. Here are links to articals recalling some of these memorable climbs to the "heart" and "red banks" of Mt. Shasta. Also there is a link to Vision Quest wilderness camping journies Tom offers in the Sierra Mountains of Northern California.

May it be so.
